A longer stroll reaches the river banks. The Dog Kennel walk continues into Boroughbridge (3 miles) for shops, cafés and riverside paths.
Ripon & Fountains Abbey
Four miles to Ripon’s cathedral city. On the outskirts sits Fountains Abbey, the largest monastic ruins in the country.
Dales & cycle routes
Beyond Ripon lies Nidderdale AONB. The site has a bike rack and sits on the Ure Valley Way; York is about 45 minutes by car.
