The Black Lion was brought back to life by the village. Today it is a relaxed, characterful pub where regulars, walkers, families and visitors all settle in.

A garden to settle into

Gravel paths, picnic benches and a stretch of lawn, with umbrellas for the sun and festoon lights when the evening draws in.

Stone planters, hanging baskets and a brick nook give the garden its shape. Bring the dog, take a table, or wander out with a pint from the bar.

A stretch of lawn for groups and families, with lawn games, log benches along the fence, and space for children to run while you sit with a pint.
